Where is my data?

Everything stays in the app on your phone, and in your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google) unless you choose Phone only in Settings > Your data. There's no account, so nothing is stored on our side. Setting up a new phone from that backup brings your data over. With Phone only, or on Android past Google's 25 MB, use Settings > Back up now before you move, save the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone, then use Settings > Restore from backup.

I got a new phone and Lifetime Pro is missing

Open Settings, tap Lifetime Pro, then tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple account or Google account you bought it with.

Reminders don't arrive

Check that notifications are allowed for Vocal Companion in your phone's settings, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't hiding them.

Recording doesn't work

Check that Vocal Companion is allowed to use the microphone in your phone's settings.

How do I delete my data?

Delete entries and voice memos in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored.

Health data

We don't receive any health information from the app. If you live in Washington, Nevada or Connecticut, see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy at vocalcompanion.com/consumer-health-data. To ask about any data we hold (for example, your waitlist email), email hello@vocalcompanion.com with "Data request" in the subject.

Is this medical advice?

No. Vocal Companion helps you practise and keep track, but it doesn't diagnose or treat any condition. It doesn't check or analyse your voice. See a doctor promptly if you have trouble breathing or swallowing, pain, a lump in your neck, or hoarseness that lasts more than 4 weeks. If you have severe difficulty breathing, get emergency help.
