Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026 · Effective: 15 October 2026

About this policy

This policy explains how Vocal Companion (Mark Jidon, trading as Moriya Works, hello@vocalcompanion.com) handles consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law.

Consumer health data we collect, and why

The Vocal Companion app: none. The app keeps your practice sessions, voice ratings, mood, tension areas, notes and voice memos on your device only, so it can show your history and progress. We never receive, access or keep any of it.

Our website waitlist: your email address and the platform you chose. Joining a waitlist for a voice-care app could suggest you're interested in voice care, so we treat this as consumer health data. We use it only to tell you when the app launches and, if you agree, to invite you to test it.

Emails you send us: your email address and anything you write. We use them only to reply.

Where it comes from

Directly from you.

Consumer health data we share

We don't sell consumer health data or use it for advertising. If you agree to be a beta tester, we share your email address with Apple (TestFlight) or Google (Google Play testing) so they can send you the test version. We share nothing else.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers that process it for us under contract: Cloudflare (website hosting and waitlist storage) and our email inbox provider.
  • Apple or Google, only for beta testing and only if you agree.

We have no affiliates.

Your rights

You can ask us to confirm whether we hold your consumer health data, get a copy of it with a list of everyone we've shared it with, delete it (we'll also tell our service providers to delete it) or withdraw your consent. Email hello@vocalcompanion.com with "Health data request" in the subject. We'll confirm your request using the email address it came from and reply within 45 days, free of charge.

If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying with "Appeal". We'll answer within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General at www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint or the Nevada Attorney General at ag.nv.gov.

How we process it (Nevada)

We store waitlist details with Cloudflare and delete them when you unsubscribe or ask us to. No one else collects data about you across other websites through our site.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date and email anyone on the waitlist before the change takes effect.
